Job Information



Performs administrative tasks to support the Human Resource Function.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.


  • Input employee maintenance information into the payroll system such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, transfers, status changes, and termination date and reason.


  • Serve as backup for payroll processing.


  • Process background checks and drug testing for all new hires.


  • Perform all new hire orientations.


  • Examine employee records to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.


  • Compile data from payroll database or other sources and prepares reports.


  • Process all Leave of Absence, FMLA and Short Term Disability requests.


  • Compile and maintain records for use in employee benefits administration utilizing provider on-line systems, including additions and terminations. Benefits include group health, dental, life insurance, short term disability and 403(b) retirement.


  • Audit all employee benefit billings.


  • Process all required COBRA documentation.


  • Maintain personnel files, I-9 files, medical files, and OSHA training files.


  • Prepares miscellaneous employee communications and memos.


  • Serve on the Safety Committee.


  • Assist the Executive Director as needed.


  • Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience


One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Language Skills


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.



Mathematical Skills


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute percentages.



Reasoning Ability


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



Computer Skills


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Explorer Internet software; MAS 90 Payroll systems; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.
