Goodwill Employees Certified As Business Engagement Professionals

TYLER, Texas. – June 29, 2021 – Two Goodwill Industries of East Texas employees are now Certified Business Engagement Professionals (CBEP).

Keyshiya Wash, an Employment Specialist, and Terrance Freeman, a GoodTemp Specialist, completed all course work through Business U to achieve their certifications. Wash and Freeman play a major role at Goodwill in job placement.

Business U’s Practitioner Certification is designed to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to engage business and industry successfully as a partner in sector strategies, career pathways, work-based learning, and as a customer with government-funded services.

“Becoming a CBEP is an important step in personal and professional development,” said Chevella Layne, Mission Services Director at Goodwill. “Keyshiya and Terrance chose to pursue and achieve this certification, which shows their commitment to their customers and careers. As a workforce development organization, Goodwill encourages personal growth, and the CBEP is one of many paths to personal excellence.”

Business U is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education & Training.
